At Light Bulbs Sales Store, we want you to be completely satisfied with your lighting purchase. If you’re not happy with your order, we offer a straightforward returns and exchanges process for most of our products.
Our Return Policy
You may return most items within 15 days of receiving your order for a refund or exchange, provided they are in original condition with all packaging intact. Please note:
- All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) number
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, the following lighting products cannot be returned:
- Incandescent Light Bulbs (due to fragility and potential damage during return shipping)
- LED Light Bulbs that have been removed from original packaging
- Vintage & Nostalgic Light Bulbs (considered specialty/collector items)
- Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps to process your return or exchange:
- Contact our customer service within 15 days of receiving your order at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- Receive your RA number – We’ll email you within 1-2 business days with return instructions and your RA number
- Package your item(s) securely in the original packaging with all accessories
- Ship your return to our Philadelphia warehouse (address will be provided with your RA number)
- Wait for processing – We’ll notify you via email once we receive and inspect your return

For your protection, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 3-5 business days of arrival at our warehouse), we will process your refund or exchange:
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Processing Time: 3-5 business days after we approve your return
- Bank Processing: Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement
Note: Sale items are only eligible for exchange or store credit.
Exchange Process
To exchange an item:
- Follow the standard return process above
- In your initial email, clearly state you want an exchange and specify the replacement product
- We will process the exchange once we receive your return
- You will be responsible for any price difference and additional shipping costs
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective lighting product:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
- We will provide a prepaid return label if necessary
- We’ll ship a replacement as soon as possible at no additional cost
